Herbert Roy "Herb" Bennington Jr. of Shadyside and Bellaire, Ohio, died June 10, 2022, in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born July 27, 1948, in Bellaire, a son of the late Herbert R. Bennington Sr. and Almeda Yoho Bennington.

Herb was a maintenance supervisor for Classic A. Properties, formerly attended Church Alive, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Herbert "Fonz" Bennington III; a grandson, Allan Garcia; a brother, Robert and sisters, Mable Fabrizo and Rose Bennington.

Herb is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Bertie Arn Bennington; two children, Wendy (Paul) Stonebreaker and Rhonda (James) Willis; three sisters, Mary McGarry, Ruth Irwin, and Shirley Angelo; a sister-in-law, Darlene Bennington; four grandchildren Herb helped raise, Herbert "Fonz", Haleigh, Hauna, and Heather Bennington; seven additional grandchildren, Jessica and Jody Stonebreaker, Paul and Shaya Horn, Cheyenne Garcia, James Willis Jr. and Brandon Willis; many nieces and nephews, and his fur baby, Charlie.

Visitation will be held at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Wednesday from 3 p.m. until time of services at 6 p.m. with Pastor Michelle Bennington Lucarelli officiating.
