Eileen Marie Slack, 97, of Shadyside, Ohio, died January 29, 2024, in Shadyside Care Center.
She was born October 12, 1926, in Jacobsburg, Ohio, a daughter of the late William David Taylor and Mary Alice Graham Taylor.
Eileen was a graduate of Bellaire High School. She was a homemaker and farmer. Eileen was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Key, and a member of the Weyer Chapter 515, Order of Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Slack; a daughter, Katrina Dunaway; a son, Eric Slack; three sisters, Clara Mae Taylor, Virginia Lee Hammond Horn and Kathryn Graham; three brothers, Hovey Emerson Taylor, William D. Taylor Jr. and James H. Taylor; a grandson-in-law, Tom Boyd; and a great grandson, Noah Brown.
Eileen is survived by two children, Elliott (Bernie) Slack and Jennifer (John) Gulash; a sister, Naomi Schrum; 12 grandchildren, Heather Dunaway, Rachel Boyd, Janell (Rob) Brown, Wendy (Scott) Duncan, Ryan Slack, Jill (Jason) Monus, Kyle Dunaway, Dylan (Brittany) Slack, Mary Slack, Allison (Judd) Stewart, Mason (Anna) Gulash and Karley Gulash; and 20 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 6th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with O.E.S. Service at 7:45 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio, where visitation will again be held on Wednesday, from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Alyson Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Key, Ohio.
