Winifred L. McGough, 87, of St. Clairsville, died Sunday at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling.
She was born April 8, 1920 in Bridgeport, Ohio, a daughter of the late Michael and Sophia Gallagher O?Malley.
Winifred was a retired employee from Sears Roebuck and Company and a former telephone operator at the Bridgeport Telephone Co. She was a member of the St. Mary?s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville; a member of the St. Francis Society and the AARP.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Virgil McGough Sr.; four sisters; and three brothers.
Surviving are her sons, Thomas Virgil McGough Jr. of Bethesda, Michael McGough and his wife Marianne of St. Clairsville and John Patrick McGough and his wife Barbara of Bellaire; two grandchildren, Michael Patrick McGough and his wife Alicia of Sunbury, Ohio and Elizabeth Pent of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two great grandchildren, Andrew Bryan Pent and Leah Elizabeth Pent; several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy with Mass on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, with Monsignor George Coyne the celebrant. Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary?s Garden Mausoleum, Wheeling. Arrangements by Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary?s Central School, 226 W. Main St., St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
