Winifred Fowler, age 85, formerly of Wheeling Island, died Monday, April 18, 2005 at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born August 19, 1919 in Ipswich, England, a daughter of the late Samuel and Rose E. Cribb Bushell.

Winifred was retired from the G. C. Murphy Co. and was a member of Riverview Bible Church in West Wheeling, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Emery; and a great granddaughter, Megan Renae Fowler.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald S. Fowler and his wife Jane of Aurora, Colorado, Gary A. Fowler and his wife Kathleen of Bridgeport, Ohio and Richard L. Fowler and his wife Judith of Wheeling; a son-in-law, George Emery of Bury St. Edmunds, England; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville where services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Armstrong Cemetery, Armstrongs Mills, Ohio.
