Wilma Jean Funkhouser, 55 of Belmont, Ohio died Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born February 20, 1953 in Wheeling, a daughter of Alice Bernice McGilton Fulton and the late William Camby Fulton.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, a former employee of Bell Nursing Home and a Girl Scout volunteer.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by brothers, Richard and Robert Fulton.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Morristown, are her husband, Richard E. Funkhouser; sons, Richard Michael Funkhouser and his wife Trish of Bridgeport, and Jason Christopher Funkhouser of Belmont; six sisters, Becki (Brad) Wilson of Pennsylvania, Peggy (Roger) Shunk of Bethesda, Carol (Ken) Jones of Arkansas, Sandy (Ben) Dorsey of St. Clairsville, Ruth (Jim) Stewart of Barton, and Connie (Scott) Back of Byesville; a brother Chuck (Nancy) Fulton of Belmont; 3 grandchildren, Dorothy Jo Gerard, Brianna Nicole Funkhouser, and Caleb Michael Funkhouser; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Belmont United Methodist Church with Rev. Theresa Bobot officiating.
A private burial will be held at the Union Cemetery, Morristown.
The family requests no flowers, instead memorial contributions may be made in memory of Wilma Jean Funkhouser to the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, Development Office, P.O. Box 9300, Morgantown, WV 26506.
