Obituary

William "Willie" Kovalyk, 91, of Neffs, Ohio died August 3, 2019 at his home.

He was born November 14, 1927 in Echo, Ohio, a son of the late Alex and Julia Kovalyk.

Willie was a retired coal miner from Windsor Power. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving on the USS Franklin during World War II and a life member of the Neffs Rod and Gun Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Jennie Florek Kovalyk; and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are a son, William Kovalyk, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Brenda Kovalyk; two grandsons, Bill (Nadine) Kovalyk III and Luke A. Kovalyk; two great grandchildren, Logan and Carmen Kovalyk and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited on Tuesday August 6th at 10:30 a.m. to Mount Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio for Full Military Honors conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.  Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
