Obituary
William C. Yardley, age 61, of Bridgeport, died Thursday, August 5, 2004 at Sunset Health Care Center, Harrisville, Ohio. He was born January 21, 1943 at Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Milton Yardley and Mary Jane Schmitt Yardley.
He was a retired school teacher from Buckeye Local Schools where he taught the 5th and 6th grades. William also was an employee of Lowe's Home Improvement and a member of the First Christian Church at Martins Ferry, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Harvey Yardley; two sons, John Yardley and William H. Yardley both of Roswell, Georgia; and a granddaughter, Emilie.
Private services were held with Pastor Terry Erwin officiating. Entombment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at Pleasant Grove, Ohio. Toothman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 98 B. East Cove Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003.
