Obituary

WHITLATCH, William Russell, 83, of Shadyside, Ohio died April 17, 2014 at home.

He was born at Pipe Creek, Ohio on November 22, 1930, son of the late Russell and Mary Whitlatch.

William was a retired electrician from North American Coal Co. He was a member of Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church; a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a member of Shadyside Lodge #724 F. & A.M., Osiris Shrine in Wheeling, Captina Chapter # 489 O.E.S. and American Legion Post # 521 in Shadyside.

He is survived by his loving wife, Waunita Vostatek Whitlatch; two daughters, Jeri Lynn Stone of Jacksonville, Florida and Mary Ellen Beatley of New Albany, Ohio; two grandchildren, Jake Beatley and Sierra Stone.

A Memorial Service will be held at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Randy Weaver officiating.

Full Military Honors will be conducted Monday at 12:45 p.m. by the Belmont County Council of American Legions with Masonic Funeral Services to follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church or Medi Home Health and Hospice.
