Obituary

William W. "Bill" Wesley, 76, of Maynard, Ohio, died September 17, 2023, at his home.

He was born October 15, 1946, in Flushing, Ohio, a son of the late Roy Wesley and Lela Lendon Wesley.

Bill was a U.S. Army combat veteran of the Vietnam War and was a retired coal miner from the Consolidation Coal Company having worked on the Gem of Egypt and Silver Spade. He was a member of the Maynard United Methodist Church; a member of the VFW post #8848 in Colerain; a member of the American Legion Post 159 in St. Clairsville and a member of the Flushing Lodge #298 F. & A. M.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth (Joe) Juriga and two brothers, Albert and Robert Wesley.

Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rhonda L. Shinkarow Wesley; a son William "Billy" (Miranda) Wesley; three grandchildren, Jeremy, William "Will" and Ellison Wesley; a sister-in-law, Sandy (Jim) Schlog; special niece and nephew, Nicole and Chad; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of services beginning at 6 p.m. with the Belmont County Veterans Association conducting Full Military Honors and Scott Black and Pastor Al Hoder officiating the funeral.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Barton Volunteer Fire Dept.
