William L. Underwood
Underwood, William L., 73 of St. Clairsville died Saturday at OSU Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born at Glencoe, Ohio on June 27, 1936 a son of the late Arthur and Lorena Miller Underwood.
He was a retired construction worker from Hatcher Brothers in Brilliant,a member of the Church of Christ, St. Clairsville and St. Clairsville Eagles Aerie #2541.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donn Prosperi; daughter-in-law, Debbie Prosperi and a great grandson, Isaac Winland.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Kinder Underwood; his children, Joe Prosperi of North Carolina; Kathi (Ken) Dodd of Barnesville; Lisa (Jim) Lewis of St. Clairsville; Bill Underwood and Ralph Underwood both of Bellaire and Jodi (Mike) Bartnicki of Fairpoint; a sister, Evelyn Strawser of Lancaster, OH; a brother, Arthur (Marianne) Underwood of California; sister-in-law, Lee Ekstrom of Martins Ferry; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Everett Hutson officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Bellaire.
