Koshenka, William Joseph, 80, of Willow Grove Road, died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Belmont Manor Nursing Home.
He was born in Benwood, West Virginia on March 7, 1927, a son of the late Peter and Theresa Kapina Koshenka.
William was a retired employee of Ohio Edison in Shadyside with 39 years of service. He was a World War II U. S. Army veteran; a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Neffs; a member of the St. Francis Society and a member of the Neffs Rod and Gun Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin sons, Jeffrey Mark and Gregory Alan Koshenka; and a sister, Mary Stack.
Surviving are his wife, Grace Pauline Norris Koshenka; four children, Jody (Jeff) Johnson of Bellaire; Curtis (Jane) Koshenka of Neffs; Thomas Koshenka of Bellaire and Douglas (Carrie) Koshenka of Bellaire; three grandchildren, Courtney, Kyle and Logan; a brother, Robert Koshenka of St. Clairsville and a sister, Helen Olinski of St. Clairsville.
Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with a Rosary Service at 6 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Neffs, with Father Gary Zalenski as the celebrant. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery.
