William John "Pap" Kopyar, 91, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died June 24, 2016 in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born in Bellaire, Ohio on August 20, 1924 son of the late Florian and Elizabeth Rabulsky Kopyar.
William was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a proud World War II U.S. Navy veteran who served his country honorably through many battles abroad.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Ann Talkington Kopyar; a daughter, Jelena Rose Usenick; a great grandson, Wyatt Dickey; two brothers and two sisters.
William is survived by his wife, Ada Arlene Truex Kopyar; seven children, Betty Rose (Floyd) Shuttleworth, Judy Lynn (Danny) McMillan, Julie Ann (Rich) Daley, Billie Jo DeFelice, Jerry (Cyndi) Kopyar, Florian J. (Maggie) Kopyar and Jennifer (Bob) Jeffries; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Kopyar, Tom (Rose) Kopyar and Bernard (Mary) Kopyar; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 pm until time of service at 8 p.m. with Brad Schrum officiating.
Full Military Honor Services will be held on Monday at 3:45 p.m.
