William "Bill" Johnen, 82, of Flushing, Ohio died Friday, March 9, 2018 in Emerald Pointe Nursing Home, Barnesville.

He was born in Lafferty, Ohio on November 18, 1935, a son of the late Leopold Johnen and Mary Sisolak Johnen.

Bill was a co-owner and Operator of Johnen Carry Out for 40 years and a Barber at Johnen Barber Shop in both in Flushing. He was an avid hunter and trapper and a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Irene Roscoe Johnen; two brothers, John and Joe Johnen; two half-brothers, Pete and Paul Horvath; and three half-sisters, Helen Horvath, Mary Light and Julia Azallion.

Surviving are his two sons, Mark Johnen and Robert Johnen and his girlfriend Karen Hoppin both of Flushing; two grandchildren, Robbie and Ellie Johnen; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, with Pastor Dean Lancaster officiating. Private interment will be held in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
