HINES, William E. Jr. Bill, 79, of Jacobsburg, died June 15, 2011 at the Acuity Specialty Hospital in Bellaire.

He was born in Jacobsburg, on June 2, 1932, son of the late William E. Hines Sr. and Della Mae Parker Hines.

Bill was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steels Mingo Junction Plant. He was a member of the Church of God in Beallsville and a U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy L. Hines; and a brother, Donald Hines.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Dixon Hines; a daughter, Pamela Bolin of Bethesda; three sons, Kenneth Hines of Holloway, Joe Hines of St. Clairsville and David Hines of Barnesville; five sisters, Doris Ashcroft of Florida, Gertrude Martin of Jacobsburg, Sylvia Passmore of Jerusalem, Lucille Regoli and Mary Weekley both of Bellaire; two brothers, Phillip Bud Hines of Quaker City and Gary Hines of Florida; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg with Pastor Phillip Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

Full Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral home by the Belmont County Council of American Legions at 1 p.m. on Monday.
