William Roy Adams (Devers), 83, of Belmont, Ohio died February 7, 2021 in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born February 28, 1937 in Bellaire, Ohio, son of the late Charles Adams and Dorothy Glatzer Adams.
Bill was a retired employee of International Harvester, had worked on the railroad and had served in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He loved his family and enjoyed caring for others. He attended Calvary Presbyterian Church and his favorite scripture was Isaiah 41:10, Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Bill often reminded people that "fear" was in the Bible 365 times, one for every day of the year.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Regina Adams; 2 brothers, Vincent Devers and Charles Adams; grandchildren, Krissy Littleton and Monica Dunfee; and son-in-law, Chris Colbert.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Martha Mitus Adams; children, Denise Adams, Alice Littleton, William "Bob" (Missy) Adams, Chris (Amy) Adams, Jeff (Kathy) Nagy, Anna Nagy, Bonnie Colbert and Brian (Dottie) Nagy; grandchildren, Curtis Dunfee, Amanda (Vernon) Hall, Lacie Adams, C.J. Adams, Ashley Seevers, Andrew Seevers, Peggy Hartel, Gideon (Taylor) Nagy, Marquis Palmer, Gracie Colbert, Abigail (Steve) Andersen, Rachel Nagy and Martha (Daniel) Ward; 24 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and another on the way; and a brother, Sonny (Lois) Devers.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Presbyterian Church.
