Obituary

Willard A. Shaw Jr., 87, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away December 6, 2020 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born in Cambridge, Ohio on June 17, 1933, son of the late Willard A. Shaw and Belinda Neneta Gary Shaw.

Willard was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School and was a member of the Alumni Association. He operated many Sohio Stations in Belmont County. He served in the U.S. Army 864 th Engineers and the 983 Engineers out of Bellaire, Ohio. He served on the St. Clairsville Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Cumberland Trail Fire Dept. Will was a member of Lloydsville United Methodist Church.

Will was a former member and Past Master of Belmont Lodge 16 F.& AM and current member of Weyer Lodge # 541 F. & AM; he was Past President of the Past Masters Association; a member of Bellaire Chapter 107, Bellaire Council 87, Hope Commandry 26 and the Knights Templar. Will was a retired Bus Driver for St. Clairsville-Richland City Schools and a member of the Saints Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Louise Morris Shaw in 2012; a brother, John R. Shaw; and a sister, Martha Shaw Wegert.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas (Timothy) Shaw of Pittsburgh, PA and Mark A. (Raelise) Shaw of Struthers, OH; a grandson, Ian (Lindsey) Shaw of Columbus, OH; a granddaughter, Johnna Shaw of Campbell, OH; a great granddaughter, Audrey Shaw and a great grandson, William Shaw both of Columbus; a sister, Evelyn (Charles) Shultz of Reno, NV.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and facial coverings will be required during visitation on Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Andrew Thompson officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

A Masonic Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 6:45 p.m. in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lloydsville United Methodist Church.
