Willard E. "Pete" Bilyeu, also known as "Rusty Rooster" to his truck driving buddies, age 87, of Centerville, Ohio died January 30, 2021 at his home.
He was born April 29, 1933 in Jacobsburg, Ohio, a son of the late Evelyn Bilyeu.
Willard was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a retired employee of Roadway Express and former President of the Teamsters Local # 413 in Columbus and he owned and operated R&R Electronics.
He served in the Army Reserves and was a member of the American Legion Post 159 in St. Clairsville. He was a former Smith Township Trustee. Willard was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church; a 57-year member and Past Master of Weyer Lodge #541 F. & A.M., a Past District Deputy and Past District Educational Officer both for the 23 rd Masonic District of Ohio and he was a member of Weyer Chapter 515, Order of Eastern Star both in Centerville. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Cambridge and Knights Templar and was an honorary member of Madison Lodge #221 F. & A.M. in West Jefferson.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Nellie May Earliwine Bilyeu.
Willard is survived by his three children, Judy Bilyeu, Sondra (Chuck) Foster, and Gary (Angie) Bilyeu; two grandchildren, Nick and Lacy Bilyeu; and his dog, Shadow.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and facial coverings will be required during visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Don Eberhart officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.
Masonic Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 7:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Concord Presbyterian Church or the Smith Township Senior Center.
