Wilbert I. "Web" Brumfield, 86, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died January 13, 2019 at his home.

He was born September 11, 1932 in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Earl P. Brumfield and Myrtle E. Roush Brumfield.

Web was a retired heavy equipment operator with the Operating Engineers Local #18; a former employee of Quinn Development and worked for Thomas Auto Center.  He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Fairpoint Mennonite Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Margie Bort, Mae Wellington, Maggie Jeffers and Ann Stidham and a granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Higgins.

Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Joanne Brydle Brumfield; five children, Michael (Mary Beth Brumfield of Bannock, Phyllis (Terry) Higgins of Warnock, Katherine Ann (Jeff) Turner of Alexandria, Ohio, David (Barb) Brumfield of Kent, Ohio and Michelle (Ronald) Randall of Prattville, Alabama; a brother, Howard Wayne Brumfield of Gallipolis, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until time of services beginning at 4 p.m. with Belmont County Veterans Association conducting Military Honors and Darrell McVay officiating the funeral service.

Private burial will be held in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville at the convenience of the family.
