Dr. Wendy K. Benline Dean, M.D., 56, of Bethesda, Ohio, died Sunday, May 26, 2024, at her home.

She was born October 10, 1967, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of Paula Graham Benline and the late William E. Benline Jr.

Dr. Wendy was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from West Liberty University, and later graduated Suma Cum Laude from the Marshall University Medical College. She served her residency at Wheeling Hospital in family medicine, later served in family practice in Woodsfield, Ohio, and finishing her career in medicine at Barnesville Hospital Emergency Department. Wendy enjoyed her family and was an avid reader.

Wendy is survived by her mother, Paula Benline of St. Clairsville; three children, Andrew Dean, Grace Dean and Seth Dean all of Bethesda; a brother, William E. (Heather) Benline III of Denver, Colorado; her best friend, Rayann Runevitch; and her dog, Cas.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 6 p.m. until time of service at 7:30 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, with Pastor Paul Todd officiating.
