Moore, Walter E., 72, of Bethesda, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008. He was born August 22, 1936 in Steubenville, son of the late Walter and Dessie Agnes Tate Moore.
Walter was a retired welder. One of the highlights of his career was working on the Gem of Egypt for Consolidation Coal Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran and he loved hunting, fishing, the outdoors and he was an avid sportsman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Shores Moore; a brother, Thomas Minor and a sister, Shirley Hrancho.
Surviving are his four daughters, Tammy (Bob) Bailey and Terry (Kevin) Fador both of St. Clairsville, Tonny (Bob) Tomer of Barnesville and Torry Rouse of Bethesda; four grandchildren, Benjamen Fador and wife Lora Fador, Jared Bailey, Andrea Tomer and Ryan Eller; three brothers, James Moore, Rick Tate and Gary Tate all of Canton; a sister, Mary Moore of Canton; several nieces, nephews; and many dear friends, especially his angel, Joyce Rotondo.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. with Rev. Lisa Boulton officiating.
