Virginia W. Toothman, 84, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, died May 15, 2007 at Park Health Center in St. Clairsville.
She was born October 15, 1922 in McMechen, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Daniel and Tena Belle Keller Wilson.
Virginia was a former owner and operator of Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg. She was a member of Jacobsburg United Methodist Church where she served as former Historian, Sunday School Teacher, and Lay Leader. She was a 1940 graduate of Wheeling High School. Virginia was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. She was a member of the Glencoe American Legion Auxiliary #632; and a member of Weyer Chapter #515, Order of Eastern Star at Centerville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William "Bill" Toothman; and a brother, Hobert J. Wilson.
Surviving are her children, Wilson L. (Linda) Toothman of St. Clairsville, Portia A. (Conrad) Heydle of St. Clairsville, Susan J. (Larry) Vicen of Jacobsburg and Clark T. (Jean Ann) Toothman of St. Clairsville; two sisters-in-law, Jeanne Schroeder of Jacobsburg and Eula Wilson of Belmont; nine grandchildren, Denise (A.C.) Wiethe, Billy (Cami) Toothman and Jeff (Regan) Toothman, Corinna Heydle, Scott Heydle and Sarah Heydle, Kayla Toothman, Valerie Toothman and Michelle Toothman all of St. Clairsville; seven great grandchildren, Alli, Chase, Rhyanna, Lexi, Taylor, Abbey and Wyatt; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Michelle Lucarelli officiating. Burial will follow in Jacobsburg Cemetery.
