Virginia Lee Stokes, 80, of Pipe Creek, Jacobsburg, Ohio, died Monday, December 11, 2017 in Wheeling Hospital.

She was born in Jacobsburg on January 9, 1937, daughter of the late Leroy "Carb" and Mildred Virginia Stauffer Palmer.

Virginia was retired from Bobbie Brooks and Triple A in the USA garment factories in Bellaire and was a member of Jacobsburg United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stokes Sr.; two brothers, Dale W. Palmer and James R. "Jim" Palmer; and a sister Martha Brumback.

Virginia is survived by two daughters, April (Terry) Koonce and Robin Virginia (David) Day of Jacobsburg; a son, Donald Charles (Ronda) Stokes, Jr. of Jacobsburg; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio on Wednesday, Dec. 13th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of Services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
