Virginia Lee Hammond Horn, 88, of Shadyside, Ohio, died June 6, 2023, at her home.
She was born July 20, 1934, in Jacobsburg, Ohio, a daughter of the late William David Taylor and Mary Alice Graham Taylor.
Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a retired school bus driver for Shadyside Schools; a member of Belmont United Presbyterian Church, Key Ridge, and a member of the Weyer Chapter 515 Order of Eastern Star. Her interests included sewing, gardening and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale M. Hammond; second husband, Frank B. Horn; a daughter, Kimberlee Hammond; a grandson, Ray Speece III; a sister, Clara Mae Taylor; and three brothers, Hovey Emerson Taylor, William David Taylor Jr. and James Taylor.
Virginia is survived by; three children, Roger (Annette) Hammond, Sandra (John Myers) Marling and Michele (Mark) Tuttle; a special granddaughter, Shawna Edwards; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; three stepchildren, Christopher (Sally) Horn, Jeff (Shelly) Horn and Marcy (Todd) Thompson six step-grandchildren; three sisters, Eileen Slack, Naomi Schrum and Kathryn Graham; many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 4-8 p.m., with an OES Service at 7:45 p.m., at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Alyson Farmer officiating. The burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
