Virginia Mary Dobson, 92, of Bellaire, Ohio, died November 24, 2021, in Shadyside Continuing Health Care Center.

She was born August 20, 1929, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of the late Otto and Mary Guimelia Brown.

Virginia was a retired employee of Bellaire City Hospital and a Catholic by faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Dobson; a son, Richard Dobson; and two sisters, Dorothy Abraham and Marjorie Neavin.

She is survived by three children, Karen (James) Grady of Martins Ferry, Thomas (Teresa) Dobson of Shadyside, and Robert (Wendy) Dobson of Bellaire; a brother, Otto (Kathy) Brown of Martins Ferry; a brother-in-law, Michael (Kathy) Dobson; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

There will be a Private Family Visitation on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of Service at 1 p.m. with Father Daniel Heusel officiating. Burial follows in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
