Obituary
Vincent Anthony Lucarelli, 88 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, WV.
He was born April 29, 1929 in Tiltonsville, OH, a son of the late Salvatore Lucarelli and Rose Marconi Lucarelli.
Vince, in his early years, was a cement finisher who later began Lucarelli Carpet, a business that served St. Clairsville and the surrounding area for many years. He was a member and Deacon of Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville, a U.S. Navy Reservist, past president of St. Clairsville Lions Club and a Lions Club Zone Chairman.
He came from a very close knit Italian family and loved sharing that with his precious grandchildren who affectionately referred to he and Grandma's house as Camp Lucarelli. He was an avid Steeler's fan and loved playing cards.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Mark and Ron Lucarelli; a brother, Jerry; a sister, Arlene; a great granddaughter, Emily Strait.
Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years, Alice J. Scheehle Lucarelli; two sons, Terry (Karen) Lucarelli of St. Clairsville, and Sam (Michelle) Lucarelli of Bridgeport; daughter-in-law, Barb Lucarelli; sisters, Mary "Aunt Mam" Barnhouse of Tiltonsville and Palamino "Aunt Pal" Sall of Martins Ferry; six grandchildren, Kerry (Shawn) Strait of Cincinnati, OH, Christopher (Michele) Lucarelli of Harpers Ferry, WV, Gina (Steven) Marcelin of Reynolsburg, OH, Jeremy Lucarelli of Jacksonville, FL, Sarah (Josh) Waugh of Kingwood, WV, and Anthony Lucarelli of Lancaster, OH; seven great grandchildren, Audrey, Nora, Roman, Milo, Gabriel, Jada, and Rosalie Alice; and lifelong friend of the family, Pat Green-Wallace.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, December 30th at Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville at 11 a.m. with Rev. Terry Lucarelli officiating.
A luncheon will be served immediately following at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Calvary Presbyterian Church, 100 S. Marietta St., St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
