Victor C. Thompson, Sr., 70, of Barnesville, died August 27, 2014 at his home.
He was born in Smithfield, Ohio on October 18, 1943, son of the late David and Mary Craig Thompson.
Vic was an owner and operator of Thompson Trucking. He was a member of the Central Ohio Mini Modified Tractor Pullers of Adamsville where he was known as "Vic Diesel".
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Bud, Dave, Ed and Chuck Thompson; two sisters, Jessie Hicks and Pat Summerville.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Lee Hummel McGilton; his children, Victor C. Thompson, Jr. of Thornville, OH, Lennie Shelton of Thompsonville, IL, Tracy Hamilton of Wheeling, WV, Eric Hamilton of Woodsfield, OH, and Crystal Odeyinka of Tiltonsville, OH; a brother, Jerry Thompson of Hardeeville, SC; two sisters, Mary Paice of Wintersville, OH, and Betty Hopkins of Brilliant, OH; eleven grandchildren, Paul, Taylor, Brody, Brandon, Macy, Ashley, Sarriah, Neilie, Regan, Morayo and Holden; a great granddaughter, Addeilynn.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
