Obituary
Vera May Brocklehurst, 98, of Jacobsburg, Ohio died Saturday, November 5, 2016 at her home.
She was born June 22, 1918 in Jacobsburg, Ohio, a daughter of the late Albert B. Bumgardner and Edna Haught Bumgardner.
Vera was a homemaker and a member of the Jacobsburg United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Arthur "Jack" Brocklehurst Sr.; two sons, John "Jack" Brocklehurst Jr. and Donald Brocklehurst; a grandson, Todd Pierce; two brothers, Dale and Vernon Bumgardner; two sisters, Doris Nelson and Goldie Powell.
Surviving are her son, Roger (Joyce) Brocklehurst of Shadyside; three daughters, Phyllis Brocklehurst of Barberton, Ohio, Karen (Larry) Pierce of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Susan (Gary) Hess of Van Wert, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at
Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
