Velma Iona Borosh, 80 of St. Clairsville formerly of Lafferty died Sunday, March 7, 2004 at Forest Hill Nursing Home, St. Clairsville.

She was born at Pomeroy, Ohio on September 16, 1923 a daughter of the late Franklin and Lucy Margaret Scott Pickens.

Velma was a home maker and a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church at Lafferty.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Borosh; a brother Franklin Pickens and a sister, Ruth Snyder.

Surviving are her daughter, Christine Huggins of St. Clairsville; sons Steve Borosh of Hammond, LA and Michael Borosh of Flushing; a sister Mary Richards of Parkersburg, WV; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Friends may call Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with Vigil services at 3 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Lafferty. Burial follows in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lafferty.
