Veda Genevieve Byers Nething, 98, of North Canton, Ohio died January 21, 2022, in Mercy Medical Center.

She was born February 25, 1923, in Stewartsville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles Byers and Mary Etta Earley Byers.

Veda was a Methodist by faith and had served and worked for the Department of Defense at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Leo Nething, and two sisters, Rachel Narrick and Helen Henry.

Surviving are her brother, Charles Byers of Barnesville, Ohio and a sister, Ruby Whitehair of Stewartsville, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

Private services were held at the convenience of the family with burial in Glencoe Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
