Valgene B. McFadden, of Jacobsburg, Ohio died Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at her daughter's home in Oregon.

Valgene was a devoted, loving wife and mother who also worked on the family farm alongside her husband, Charles. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends.   She was a member of Old Wegee Methodist Church and Weyer Chapter #515 O.E.S. at Centerville.  Valgene retired having worked with Meals on Wheels for many years.

Valgene was born July 15, 1924, daughter of the late Charles and Blanche Givens.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Thomas McFadden and an infant son, Eldon, two sisters, Dorothy Carpenter and Audrey Hammond, an infant brother Vernon Givens and son-in-law Donald Morris.

Surviving are her brother Gerald Givens of Massillon, Ohio, three daughters, Eulanda Morris of Oregon, Phoebe (Robert) Ricotti of Arizona and Delores Runyan of Jacobsburg; two sons, C. Vernon McFadden of Jacobsburg, and Kevin McFadden (Tatiana) of Oregon; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several step grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Sunday, June 3 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. with OES Star services scheduled at 6:00 p.m.  Services will be held on Monday, June 4th at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Helms officiating.  Burial will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, Bellaire.
