Stewart, Thomas Ray, 89 of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Bradenton, Florida died Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born September 14, 1920 in St. Clairsville, a son of the late Thoburn R. Stewart and Beulah Stoffel Stewart.
Tom was owner of Stewarts Mobile Home R.V. and Farm Supply Inc. in St. Clairsville, he was a businessman who loved meeting and talking to people. A 1938 graduate of St. Clairsville High School, a member of First Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville, St. Clairsville Rotary Club, Martins Ferry Forresters, Wheeling Elks, and Ohio Mobile Home Association.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jane Stewart Sanati and son-in-law, James Sanati.
Surviving are his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Martha Groves Stewart; three children, Carole Stewart (Robert) Sabo of St. Clairsville, Robert E. (Sharon) Stewart of St. Clairsville, and Thomas R. (Jackie) Stewart of Tallmadge, Ohio; a brother, Robert C. Stewart of Palm City, Florida; 11 grandchildren, Melissa, Kathy, Jamie, Mary Beth, Julie, Justin, Christopher, Stephanie, Ryan, Adam, and Lindsay; numerous great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Homer Harden officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
