Thomas Henry "Tom" Holstein, 77, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Sunday, July 28, 2024, surrounded by family.

He was born September 9, 1946, in Bethesda, Ohio, a son of the late Elden Ray Holstein and Carrie Elizabeth Williams Holstein.

Tom was a 1966 graduate of Union Local High School and a retired track shop supervisor from Ohio Cat. He was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville. Tom enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and was a member of the True Sportsman's Club in Jacobsburg, a member of Weyer Lodge #541 F. & A.M. in Centerville and a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 5356 in St. Clairsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Holstein, a daughter-in-law, Dorrie Holstein, a brother, James Holstein, and a brother-in-law, Harvey Strausbaugh.

Tom is survived by his wife, Sharon Jones Holstein; a son, Shane Holstein (Carrie); a daughter, Amy Holstein (Rick); grandchildren, Shane Holstein and Hunter Kuthy; two sisters, Betty Strausbaugh and Linda (Dale) Blake.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with Masonic Funeral Service at 7:45 p.m., at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, where services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Bill Wendell officiating. The burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
