Thomas Aloysius Grady, Sr., 84 formerly of St. Clairsville, Ohio and current resident of Winding Hill, Bellaire died Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born September 24, 1925 in Canton, Ohio, a son of the late Michael P. Grady and Gertrude Donahue Grady.
A retired self employed furniture manufacturer?s representative, member and Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, and a Navy veteran of WWII.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Adams Grady; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Surviving are children, Thomas A. (Peggy) Grady, Jr. of Yorkville, Anne C. Grady of Youngstown, Kathleen "Kitty" (Bill) Freeman of Bellaire, and Sean P. (MaryAnne) Grady of Sandwich, Mass.; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. A funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, St. Clairsville with Father Anthony Batt the celebrant. Burial follows in Davis Cemetery, Bellaire.
A vigil service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
The Belmont County Council of American Legions will conduct military services at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
