Thelma M. Knox, 79, of St. Clairsville, Ohio went to be with the Lord peacefully, surrounded by her family and the staff of Liza's Place, Valley Hospice Care Center in Wheeling, WV on Sunday, October 12, 2014.

She was born in Woodsfield, Ohio, on May 28, 1935, daughter of the late Albert Joseph Norris and Golda Irene Craig Norris.

Thelma was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of the Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin Knox Sr.

Surviving are her son, John C. (Terri) Knox Jr. of St. Clairsville; her daughter, Marlene (Bill) Bolon of Mount Pleasant; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and one due very soon; two brothers, Albert Edward Norris of Florida and Robert Leroy Livingston of St. Clairsville; and a sister, Charlene Frances Marling of Harrisville.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth A. Gifford officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Suite 108, Rayland, Ohio 43943.
