Thelma Louise Jackson, 91, of St. Clairsville went to be with the Lord, Monday, August 17, 2015.
She was born January 14, 1924 in Plantsville, Ohio, a daughter of the late William and Jessie Minerd Kennedy.
Thelma was a homemaker and former nursing assistant for the elderly. She was a member of Shiloh Temple Church in Bridgeport, Ohio. She enjoyed and was well known for baking cakes and pies, she also loved and helped raise many children and over the years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Delcie (Vic) Lewis, Gracie (Walter) Hardin and Della (Bud) Churchill; and a brother, Thaddeus Kennedy.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Frank Jackson; a daughter, Saundra Kennedy of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Glenn (Bonnie) Kennedy of Zanesville; sister, Glenola (Joseph) Barnett of Zanesville; children she cared for and helped raise, Caressa and Melanie Hutchins; several special Agnew children; nieces nephews, cousins, and friends.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Visitation will also be held on Saturday at Shiloh Temple Church, 117 1st St., Bridgeport, Ohio from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Tyron C. Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
