Terry Lee Hess, 73, of Alledonia, Ohio, passed away at home on August 3, 2026. He was born February 11, 1953, in Bellaire, Ohio, son of the late Vernard L. Hess and Esta Eileen Palmer.

Terry proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He retired after many years using his skills as a mechanic for Consolidation Coal Company’s McElroy mine. In his free time, Terry could often be found enjoying the camaraderie of the American Legion Post 77 in Neffs, OH, and the VFW in Woodsfield, OH.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Ann Brocklehurst.

Terry is survived by his children, Kevin Bell, Shad Lee (Mara) McCausland, Terrianne (Matt) Mullet, and Janie (Kelly) Kloss; his grandchildren, Tyler Bell, Luke Cassidy, Brittany Cassidy, Mackenzie McCausland, Riley McCausland, Hailey Mullet, and Mathew Mullet; and his siblings, Carolyn Cook and Charles (Barb) Hess.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, OH, from 5 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7 p.m., with Pastor Jack Palmer officiating.
