Tammy S. Gallaher, 46 of Jacobsburg, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with her loving family at her side after a long battle with liver and kidney disease.
She was born July 21, 1968 in Barnesville, Ohio, a daughter of Beverly J. Luyster of Shadyside, Ohio and the late Foster E. Luyster.
Tammy was a 1986 graduate of Barnesville High School and a member of Jacobsburg United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed gardening, camping, bingo, and her love of hummingbirds.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janice R. Gallaher.
Surviving in addition to her mother, are her husband of 26 years, Douglas J. Gallaher; her daughter, Ashley N. Lindsey and son-in-law, PFC Sean T. Lindsey of Jacobsburg; two sisters, Candy (George) Beard of Tiltonsville, Oh, and Tina (Scott) Boulet of Loxahatchee, FL; two brothers, Eddie Luyster of Barnesville, and Michael Luyster of Quaker City, OH; 6 nephews, 5 nieces, and several great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rusty Atkinson officiating. Burial follows in Powhatan Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jacobsburg United Methodist Church.
The family requests that any attending the visitation or service please dress in casual clothing.
