Obituary
Sylvia Marie Montelone, 87, of St. Clairsville, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2017.
She was born January 20, 1929 in Bridgeport, Ohio a daughter of Stephen and Mary Romas Koler.
Sylvia was a was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She retired after 30 + years as a waitress from Wilson Lodge at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling. She was a Catholic by faith and enjoyed music and dancing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand "Booty" Montelone; brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her six children, Linda Balcar, Brenda Riggs, Monte Montelone, David Montelone, Gregory Montelone and Eric Montelone; six grandchildren, Jason Balcar, Jennifer Balcar, Jill Buecker, Joseph Riggs, Anthony Montelone and Ethan Montelone; a great grandson, Jacob Buecker; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m., with Father Edward Maxfield officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Blaine.
