Linda Sue Krahel, 74, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died January 25, 2018 in Park Health Center. She was born December 10, 1943 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of the late Snow Curtis Mathews and Edith Phillips Mathews. Sue was a retired teacher from St. Clairsville-Richland City Schools and member of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. She was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Krahel Jr.; two sisters, Shirley Tomich and Geraldine Dojack; and two brothers, Paul and Dale Mathews. Surviving are two children, Chad (Tammi) Krahel of Montana and Paige (Terry) Sheba of Jacobsburg; three grandchildren, Cullen and Cole Krahel and Sidney Sheba; a great grandson, Stetson Krahel; three sisters, Nelda Leach, Mary Lou Fulton and Carol Jackson; and a brother, David Mathews. Friends and family will be received on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
