Steven John Susac of Powhatan Point, OH, died peacefully at home on August 27, 2026. He was born August 31, 1962, in Bellaire, OH, a son of the late Andrew A. “Butch” Susac and Pamela Diane Ducci Susac.

Steven was a United States Air Force veteran, later serving in the reserves following active duty. He spent the rest of his career as a correctional officer at Belmont Correctional Institute. In his free time, Steven enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR races, fishing, watching wrestling, and woodworking.

In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his lifelong friends Tracy Sullivan and “Skip” Ramsey.

Steven is survived by his son, Cole Susac; his siblings, Cliff (Lori) Susac and Andrea (Benjamin) Siburt; his nephews, Drew Susac, Dr. Jordan Susac, and Chase Siburt; and his lifelong friends, Rick Howard, Ted Kernik, Todd Matesick, Harry Higgs, and Al Strickland.

Per Steven’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services held. Private burial will take place in Powhatan Cemetery.
