Steve Worniak, age 79, born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 29, 2025, at St. Clairsville Hospital in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Steve was the beloved son of the late Margaret Annie (Saley) Worniak and Steve Worniak. He was a long-time resident of ResCare, where he made his home at the Donnerville Group Home and previously at the Pineview Group Home. Steve was deeply cherished by his fellow housemates and the many staff members who had the privilege of caring for him and welcoming him as part of their extended family. His presence brought familiarity, routine, and connection to those around him, and he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

Steve spent his days attending Tomorrow's Corner, where he enjoyed the companionship of peers and staff who came to know him well. He formed meaningful relationships there, and his absence will be felt by all who shared in his  daily life.

Steve will be cremated, and his ashes will be laid to rest at Oak View Cemetery.  The group home will honor Steve's life with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.

Steve's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, cared for him, and shared in his journey.
