Obituary
Stella M. Shannon, 82 of Flushing, Ohio died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Forest Hill Nursing Home in St. Clairsville.
She was born August 28, 1932 in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ross L. Kerns and Mary Reid Kerns.
Stella was a former employee of Belmont Hills Country Club in St. Clairsville and a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church in Flushing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Charles Shannon; a sister, Della Mae Roberts.
Surviving are five children, John Daniel Shannon of Canton, Ohio, Charles Ross Shannon of Tampa, Florida, Cheryl Ann Ford of Corpus Christi, Texas, Kathryn Sue Shannon of Flushing, and Patricia Jean Dickerson of New Athens; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday at Rock Hill Baptist Church in Flushing from 12 noon until time of service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bob Merritt officiating.
Burial follows in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
