Obituary

Stanley Joseph Shipta, 88, of Parma, Ohio, died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the Parma Community Hospital.

He was born August 4, 1918 in Flushing, Ohio, a son of the late John and
Anna Truta Shipta.

Stanley was a retired superintendent with Ford Motor Company in Brook Park. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the St. Bridget?s Church at Parma.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Joseph and John Shipta.

Surviving are his wife, Victoria Rose Yudasz Shipta; his five daughters, Patricia (Joseph) Waltz of Parma, Elizabeth (Robert) Rucinski of Prospect, Kentucky, Mary (Siegfried) Ditzig of Strongsville, Ohio, Victoria (Vince) Falcone of Barton, Ohio and Theresa (Brian) Ealy of Parma; a sister, Elizabeth Mistak of Cadiz, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Zabor Funeral Home in Parma on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Family and friends will again be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with a vigil service to be held at 3 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Maynard, Ohio, with Father Thomas Graven the celebrant. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church or the Barton Volunteer Fire Department.
