Stanley A. Godaway, 76, of Magnolia, Texas, formerly of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died November 24, 2018 in Alexandria, Louisiana.

He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on June 20, 1942 the son of the late Andy Godaway and Agnes Ballog Godaway.

Stanley was a retired boiler operator for an asphalt company. He was a Catholic by faith and a 3 ^rd and 4 ^th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and member of the VFW and American Legion.

Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia Ann Pinter Godaway; a daughter, Michelle (Michael) Reams of Magnolia, Texas; a son, Stanley "Tony" (Debbie) Godaway of Willis, Texas; a brother, Charles George "Chico" Godaway of St. Clairsville; three grandchildren, Taylor (Greg) Godaway Kanagy, Sydney Godaway and Katie Reams; and a great grandson, Abraham Stanley Godaway Kanagy.

A memorial service is being planned for the spring of 2019 at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.

Memorial contributions may be made in Stanley's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
