Sondra Jane "Sandy" Van Dyne Lemmon, 84, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Friday, September 8, 2023, in Wheeling Hospital.

She was born on March 21, 1939, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Allen Fairfield VanDyne and Clara Berisford VanDyne.

Sandy was a retired secretary for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. She was very artistic, and enjoyed drawing, painting, quilting and sewing. She was a loving wife who loved to cook and spend quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Clairsville High School Band Moms, was a 4-H Leader, was active in the church choir and supported people with addiction. She was a member of the East Richland Evangelical Friends Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Lemmon; sister, Janet L. Cupp, and brother-in-law, John Allen Lemmon

Sandy is survived by her children, Donna Jean (Terry James) Ashton, Susan (Dale) Folmar, and Dr. Van Allen Lemmon (Dr. Michael Keleher); grandchildren, Amanda Marie Ashton, Jason Michael Ashton, Bradley James Ashton, Stephanie Laura Jane Ashton, Tiffany Michelle Folmar, Scott Robert Folmar, and Carter Michael Keleher; four great grandchildren, Cameron Ashton, Braxtyn Ashton, Trey Netter, and Tristan Netter; and a nephew, John Allen Lemmon.

Family and Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Jerry Wenger officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Shriner's Hospital for Children.
