Simone Anna Scales, 91, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in Cumberland Pointe Care Center.

She was born in Liege, Belgium on August 23, 1924, a daughter of the late Moise A. Kinon and Anna I. Gody Kinon.

Simone retired after 30 years as the secretary of Calvary Presbyterian Church where she was a member, the Clerk of Session and member of the Women's Association. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and puzzles.

In addition to her parents, Simone was preceded in death by her husband, J. Benjamin Scales.

She is survived by her two children, Ann (Tom) Rattine of St. Clairsville and Henry (Gwen) Scales of Lafferty; three grandchildren, Chris Tomich, Elizabeth Rattine-Flaherty and Carol Santone; and five great grandchildren, Matthew Tomich, Tabitha Tomich, Anthony Santone, Julianne Flaherty and Jackson Flaherty.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville Friday, Feb. 26th from 4 to 8 p.m.
Visitation will also be held at Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of Service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Al Hoder officiating. A private burial will be in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
