Shirley Ann Wilhelm, 90, of Morristown, Ohio, died Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Wheeling Hospital.

She was born July 19, 1935, in Morristown, a daughter of the late Velma Marie McMillan Major and Oliver Cleveland Major.

Shirley was a retired schoolteacher having taught at Centerville Elementary and in the Columbus School District. She was a member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church in Flushing, a member of the Belmont High School Alumni Association and member of the Red Hat Society. Shirley enjoyed gardening and playing games on her tablet.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Homer Wilhelm and a sister, Wilda Ondrick.

Shirley is survived by her two sons, Richard “R.J.” Wilhelm and Ryan O. Wilhelm, and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, where services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. The burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rock Hill Baptist Church.
