Shirley Rose Thompson Waller, 87, formerly of the Villages, Florida, died Monday, July 28, 2025, at StoryPoint of Gahanna.

She was born June 30, 1938, in Jewett, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clyde R. and Ruby Miller Thompson.

Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and homemaker. She was generous and caring woman of God, volunteering, and serving the needs of others.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, David William "Dave" Waller; four brothers, Raymond, Byron, Walter and Myron Thompson; and three sisters, Mildred Keifer, Thelma Bailie and Ruth Yost.

Shirley is survived by three children, Jeffrey (Laurie) Waller of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, Denise (Chris) Foley of Blacklick, Ohio, and Justin Waller of Washington, DC; five grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Saint Clairsville, Ohio on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:30 a.m., with Pastor Dean Myers officiating. The private burial will be held in Bethel Cemetery, Jewett, Ohio.
