TOMICH, Shirley A. (Mathews), 76, of St. Clairsville, died April 17, 2011 in Forest Hill Nursing Home with her family present.

She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on July 7, 1934, daughter of the late Snow Curtis Mathews and Edith Phillips Mathews.

Shirley was a member of Church Alive, Key Ridge, Ohio and was very devoted to her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Tomich Jr.; a brother, Paul Mathews; and a sister, Geraldine Dojack.

Surviving are her six children, LaRae (Roger) Yates of Shadyside, Wayne (Janet) Blinco of Jacobsburg, Dana Sall of St. Clairsville, Sonya (Dave) Paugh of Flushing, Louis M. (Pam) Tomich of Shadyside, and Dustin (Diane) Tomich of St. Clairsville; two brothers, Dale Mathews of California and Dave Mathews of Shadyside; four sisters, Nelda Leach of Martins Ferry, Mary Lou Fulton of Shadyside, Sue Krahel of St. Clairsville and Carol Jackson of Louisville, Kentucky; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Lewis officiating.
