Sanders, Shirley A. Kirkpatrick, 72 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born at St. Clairsville on April 8, 1935 a daughter of the late Arlow and Velma Glover Heskett.

Shirley was a retired licensed practical nurse from Wheeling Hospital and a member of the Flushing Alliance Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands William Kirkpatrick and L. B. Sanders; her daughter Denise Kirkpatrick; brothers Melvin and Dale Heskett and sisters Amy Katona and Loretta Frakowski.

She is survived by her son Dennis (Charlene) Kirkpatrick of Belmont, Ohio; grandsons, Christopher and Jacob Kirkpatrick; a brother, Arlow Heskett, Jr. of Pataskala, OH and sisters Faye Shores of St. Clairsville, Peg (Warren) Altizer of Pickerington, OH and Polly (Tom) Pickens of Flushing, OH; many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Sunday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dean Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
